I wanted to take this last opportunity to thank everyone for making my job as President the past two years an easy one!  I�ve been supported by a wonderful Board who has made sure things run smoothly for me and the club.  The membership has been active in a lot of different outings, so I�ve had a chance to meet some new people and get to know our long-standing members better. 

Join me in welcoming our newest Board members . . . Roxanne DeJanes, Myriam Griffin, and Jayne Warbinton.  Ken Lumsden is also back for this term.  They will be joining Tree Bright, Tammie Cooper, Robert Berry, George Wunker, Marc Pearce, and Pat Lumsden (our treasurer) to help lead WSSOC through another year.  Thanks everyone!

Donate to UNC School of the Arts School of Filmmaking

WSSOC has been approached by Bryan Haynes, Production Coordinator at UNCSA�s School of Filmmaking.  With budget cuts occurring at all state supported schools, UNCSA is also feeling the squeeze.  Mr. Haynes would like to invite members to donate items to be used in film productions, with all donations receiving a �Gift-In-Kind� receipt for tax purposes.  You can contact him about arranging a donation at 336-734-2835 or email haynesbr@uncsa.edu.  They will even come pick your items up for you!

If anyone has the following items, please consider donating:  WW2 items (replicas are acceptable); weapons (guns must be non-firing); stuffed/mounted animals; large sculptures; 1950�s era formica table and chairs; wooden canoe paddles; sports memorabilia; furniture; clothing; �vintage� appliances; a wooden propeller; a phone booth.   Be creative . . . there�s likely plenty of other things they can use.  A little bit of charitable spring cleaning is never a bad idea!
