Mother Nature isn’t going to let us forget what season it is!  What a hot summer!  I hope everyone is finding ways to beat the heat.  We’ve tried to put some things on the calendar that might help you do that if August is as hot as July has been.

There will be our annual trip to Lost Cove, a wonderful hike followed by a leisurely dip in the natural spring-fed pools.  A group will also be going to the National Whitewater Rafting Center in Charlotte. Folks can raft, kayak, mountain bike, rock climb, or just picnic while there.  Closer to home consider the Ice Cream Socials or the NC Beer Festival as a away to cool off from the heat. Even weekly Salem Lake rides offer a reprieve!
